Rachel Bell, Spiritual Life Coach and Ayurveda Yoga and Meditation Instructor

I am a spiritual life coach, and yoga and meditation instructor. My focus is on creating a sustainable life balance in all elements of mind, body and soul. I work with clients to break free from old habits and insecurities, to realize their full potential in life. This allows authentic movement forward towards health and happiness. I believe that it is such an injustice in this life to not realize the authentic self, and to not live to your full potential.
I am born a first generation Zimbabwean, a child of the Earth with a wondering soul and a gypsy spirit. I have two small children who I absolutely adore. Like most women, I have overcome many obstacles to become the woman that I am today. I now live in Tanzania with my family, locally I work to empower women in the agriculture sector.
When I was young, I lived with feelings of loneliness and a sense of not belonging. I was a sensitive child always a foot taller than my peers, I felt different, as though I never really fit in anywhere. I remember closing my eyes as a young adolescent and feeling the vastness of everything. I knew then that there was more to life than only what is tangible.
As an outcome of witnessing firsthand over a decade of violence and the indifference of mankind, born from greed and corruption in developing world geo-politics. I found myself unable to return to the only home that I had ever known. I needed a safe place, where I could connect mind, body and soul, feel the love, hope and peace that I knew existed within. This led me to my first yoga class, and my journey of healing began.
Coinciding with this was the start of my professional career. Starting in fiduciary legal work both in The United Kingdom and the Caribbean. Returning to my roots, a move followed onto small scale community agricultural programs in Africa and Asia. I am passionate about wild, remote natural spaces in this world, and I am an avid beekeeper.
Naturally the gypsy spirit took me all over the globe, working in community development created in me an in-depth insight and understanding into people of all walks of life. My core values in working with people are empathy and compassion. After many years of searching for home, life has taught me that it is more of a feeling and a knowing of belonging than a place. When you strive to live your truth, all that you truly love comes with you.
Life humbles you, as I believe that it is supposed to. I always say that becoming a parent has been the single most humbling experience of my life. Now as I watch my children grow, I don’t take any moment for granted. They challenge me in ways that I need to be challenged. In them I see reflections of myself and this reminds me always to practice self-love and compassion.

I believe that we should not run away from pain, because it is made up of the traumas that shape our life and make us who we are. What we don’t need is to hold on to pain. Once it has served its purpose and we let it go, we learn that our true self exists in the here and now, in this present day. We are then able to live as our true selves and experience this magnetic resonance where our dreams and goals become obtainable, with no obstruction and little resistance.

I work with mindfulness, hypnotherapy and NLP. I have studied 200hrs Yoga Teacher Training in India during 2014, where I immersed myself in a world of Ayurveda. I believe that by bringing consciousness to all aspects of life, we can learn to live in balance as our authentic selves. The mind brings focus and engagement, the body provides health and wellness, and the soul brings fulfilment and content. Once we are content, life begins to naturally flow.
I believe in open and honest communication.
And I also believe that not all who wonder are lost.
